For opera and theater a crossfade is less distractive the a fade over black.

‘skip’ button
when a performer skips a line i have to catch up with the subtitles.
a button that skips a surtitle and goes to the next one immediately would be handy.1 vote -
2-line titles equal length
If a title has to be divded into 2 lines, they both should have a similar length by default (i.e. The title should be split in half!).
This makes the 2 lines appear as „one block“ and more easy to read as one very long and one very short line.

Alignment of the output
In the moment there is only alignment left/center/right in hor/ver possible.
A graphical tool will be better, or to give the position of the output in x/y coordinates by pixel.7 votes -
Combining two titles into one
When importing a track from a file, I normally use single line break as the seperator. Often parts of the surtitles are meant to be in two lines, but as one title though.
Being able to select two titles and pressing a keyboard shortcut to combine them into one title in two lines would be great!

Shutter control
It would be nice to add support of dmx cards (enttec..) in order to control dmx shutter.
And be able to implement automatic shutter openings and closings directly from the subtitle list.12 votes -

Live typing
Hi, I am making a show about a writer. She is on stage with a laptop live typing throughout the performance and this text is shown on a surtitle screen above her. This means she can comment on what is occurring on stage as it happens but it means that traditional surtitling where lines of text are pre-written don't work for us. Is there any way that your software (which looks great by the way) could be used in this way?

Subtitle cell breaks
Ability to break (create new) subtitle cell by keyboard shortcut.
For example, CTRL-ALT-ENTER at the end of a phrase would split the cell in two, creating a new cell at the "break" point.
CTRL-ALT-DELETE could join 2 cells together. Instead of cutting/pasting text into new cells.14 votes -

Please add the ability to control line spacing for multi-line titles within a single track.

Dimmed the output screen but not dim the computer screen will be much more easy for the operator. Or add a option for this. Thanks!
When i dimmed output, i can't see the subtitle on computer screen even the subtitle screen is still bright enough. So i think we should have a option to control that.

Export to SRT
Quand la télévision vient faire la captation d'un opera, les opérateurs nous demandent un fichier SRT qu'ils utilisent pour le sous-titrage télé. Naotek permettait de le faire. Pouvez-vous implémenter la fonction ?
Merci.

Rearrange surtitles per track
For now, it is only possible to rearrange surtitles line per line, but not cell per cell.
It would be very important especially when there is an offset between languages after an import.French : Particulièrement utile lorsqu'il y a un décalage entre les différentes langues après un import.

Mark a title during projection for later modification
It is sometimes hard to take notes during a projection, it would be great to "mark" the titles that need modification, for instance, typing "m" would color the title in question and serve as memo.

Include title numbers in exports
Would be useful if title exports could include the title numbers, to make it easier to integrate any last-minute changes from translators & proofreaders.

importing .srt
the .srt file is the de facto standard for subtitle, it would be great to have the possibility to import it in Glypheo, and receive SMPTE timecode via MTC or OSC, so the subtitles can follow a film or video.

Search for
Bonjour, je trouve Glypheo très bien et très pratique. Cependant depuis quelques jours la fonctionnalité « search for » pour rechercher des mots ne marche plus et je ne comprends pas pourquoi...
Merci pour votre aide!
